Festival Fever: Mountains to Sea

The Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival is back and it's getting bigger. 

Bringing together some of the most recognised names and bestselling children's authors to Dublin the Mountains to Sea Festival lineup includes Marcus Sedgwick, Derek Landy, Philip Reeve, Sarah McIntyre, Robert Muchamore, Marita Conlon McKenna, Chris Judge, Steve Simpson, Oisín McGann and heaps more! 

There are workshops and writing courses, including Steve Simpson's Superhero Illustration Workshop, showing budding comic artists and illustrators the best ways to create the perfect superhero or villain. While The Big Picture Book Discussion will see Simpson joined by Chris Judge (The Lonely Beast), Sarah McIntyre (You Can’t Eat a Princess) and David Mackintosh (The Frank Show) to discuss what makes a great picture book as well as tips and secrets on how to catch the eyes of publishers. 

CBI's Mags Walsh will lead a panel of publishing pundits, namely Elaina O’Neill (Little Island), Eoin Purcell (New Island Books), Helen Carr (O’Brien Press), Philippa Milnes-Smith (LAW) and Laura Campbell (Dog Ears Ltd), in a discussion on what it takes to get your children’s book published.
