Conrad’s book cutting comes under criticism

While we kickstart the coffee machine and clamber to gain control of the inbox at the beginning of our week - check out Daniel Handler/Lemony Snicket's response to a video of Lauren Conrad cutting up his books to make a decorative box:

"It has always been my belief that people who spend too much time with my work end up as lost souls, drained of reason, who lead lives of raving emptiness and occasional lunatic violence. What a relief it is to see this documented."
