Today's review brings a very special book into the spotlight: Wayland, an old Viking saga retold by poet Tony Mitton and illustrated by master woodcut artist John Lawrence. Reviewer Margrit Cruickshank fell under the spell of this 'dark and beautiful' offering but couldn't help wonder: is it for children? Here is her own response:
